Alternative solar energy is an obvious choice as it is self-renewing and does not create any additional pollution.

The energy produced by the sun would actually be  enough to satisfy all of our energy needs. This raises the question why not everyone is powering their homes with alternative solar energy?

The main reason is that the necessary technology is currently still very expensive to install. As new technologies are being developed and fossil fuels are becoming increasingly expensive, alternative solar energy will become more affordable and economical.
